dont just stand therePeople often say to me, “So, I know we need branding, but I’m not sure what that means.” This a great place to start. Although logo/colors/fonts are often the first things we experience about a brand, they are only the tip of the iceberg. Your brand is your organizational identity – the story that shapes who you are. Understanding what that is and how it adds value to your intended audience is at the heart of branding. One of the most common things we do is take people through a branding process. While processes are often unique to organizational needs, they fit into one of the following four categories.
  1. Branding: You’ve got an idea and you need help shaping your story. You need branding.
  2. Brand Clarity: Your idea is already out there, but things are a bit confusing. You need to declutter and clarify around something sustainable. You may need to do brand clarity.
  3. Re-Branding: Your idea is already out there, but things aren’t working at all. What you’ve got doesn’t speak to your target audience. You may need to re-brand.
  4. Brand Management: Your idea is out there, and things are working. You need a creative champion to come along side you and help maintain consistency and deliver new and exciting assets that help you tell your story. You need brand management.
